The Customer Care Data Protection Specialist is a role within Volvo Car Group, Global Customer Service (GCS). The Customer Care Data Protection Specialist has relevant knowledge of GDPR and its application in order to coordinate all regulatory activities within Customer Experience Operations (CXO) line of business. The Customer Care Data Protection Specialist serves as key advisor and liaison between the Data Protection Coordinator and CXO ensuring proper E2E data protection and data subject request process management.

The purpose of the Customer Care Data Protection Specialist is to handle, synchronize and manage direct customer contacts and Data Subject Requests to Volvo Car Corporation, to serve Volvo Car Group, its dealer network and National Sales Companies worldwide within Customer Relations and Data Subject Request Management.

What you'll do

You will be responsible for coordinating data protection and GDPR compliance activities within CXO, ensuring information flow between Data Protection Organisation and CXO, and for CXOs Customer Care and Data Subject Request Management business process development. Your responsibilities will include coordination with Data Protection Coordinator to ensure that CXO has adequate procedures and programs in place to comply with applicable law and internal privacy policies/regulations. Support monitoring of CXOs compliance with applicable law and internal privacy policies, directives and guidelines. Creating and maintaining appropriate guidelines and materials reflecting CXOs practices and requirements. Support monitoring of systems development and operations for data compliance. Follow up on Data Protection Risks related to CXO Processing Activities in conjunction with Data Protection Coordinator. Act as a bridge between Data Protection Coordinator and Data Subject Request Management Specialists.

You and your skills
* Knowledge of relevant data protection laws, regulations and standards and their application.
* Good understanding of both business processes and relevant tools in order continuously anchor data protection requirements within CXO.
* Demonstrated capability of defining business requirements.
* Ability to quickly learn and understand business processes, identify actions and perform requirement mapping related to regulation adherence.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, be adaptable to work with members of staff across departments.
* Previous applied practice within the area of Customer Experience is desirable, preferably in an international context.
