We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Continuous Improvement Engineer to join our team at Power Transformers in Ludvika. We manufacture power transformers and reactors up to the highest occurring powers and voltages. The unit also offers diagnostics, oil reclaiming, service and spare parts to customers around the world. The Transformer unit in Ludvika has the core competence within the ultra-high voltage levels that are required to transfer a large amount of energy over long distances. Most of the new technology for power transformers is developed here in Ludvika.
As a Continuous Improvement Engineer you will play a crucial role in identifying, analyze and implementing process improvements to enhance our operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. You are a team oriented person with great communication skills which serves you when you develop, manage and lead cross-functional continuous improvement projects.
Your responsibilities:
Investigate and analyse processes across function for gaps and bottlenecks based on standards, best practices, and performance metrics
Develop, manage, and lead continuous improvement projects aligning with department strategy and goals
Manage a portfolio of quality improvement projects and execute using L6S
Maintain and develop methods for collecting, tracking, and displaying operational quality data and metrics
Lead and assist root cause analysis investigations for key customer quality issues and COPQ
Train, coach, and motivate personnel in the understanding and adoption of new practices, processes and systems
Share best practices across products and departments and drive standardization
Specify, justify and implement new technology and system improvements
Work on deploying and demonstrating modules such as Change Management, Lean Six Sigma Overview, Teamwork & Training, Visual Factory Management, Continuous Improvement, Poka-Yoke, Standard Work
Your background
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Data Science, Supply Chain Management, or Equivalent Degree.
5-10 years of experience of Continuous Improvement in Manufacturing, preferably of heavy equipment or energy business
Strong experience in applying Lean Six Sigma concepts and techniques
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Proven record of motivating and leading cross-functional teams on projects
Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is a plus
Project management experience is a plus
L6S Sigma green belt or higher certification is a plus
