hela Sverige A significant and strategic role in cluster where you will utilise your finance expertise to drive business decisions aimed at maximising value creation.
Through your day-to-day leadership and work, you will gain an in-depth understanding of financial management from a leadership perspective, sharpen your commercial acumen and enhance your stakeholder management skills. In addition, you will have visibility and exposure in the cluster leadership and regional and global finance community for future career development within Maersk Line or the Maersk Group.
This position is temporary for one year due to maternity leave. Preferred start date is 1st March, 2017.
This position is located at our office at Mölnaldsvägen, Gothenburg.
Key Responsibilities
Performance Management through the standard operating system (MLOS)
• Drive the usage of the standard reports.
• One set of numbers, owned by finance.
• Work towards standardised methodologies globally.
• Proactively support the cluster functional leads improving the business results
• Ensuring highest degree of data-based decision made in the cluster
• Make sure we only make decisions after data has been analyzed and presented.
• Translate data to pro-active business improvements
• Utilizing the ability to balance the need for data-based decisions vs. timely decisions.
• Proactively drive Customer Profitability in the cluster
• Drive forecasting throughout the cluster, with proper focus on the how, why and what if's
• Ensure we are living up to all obligations we have in the countries of the cluster
• Contribute to the regional finance community, by actively participating in the community and co-drive the agenda in this community
• Acting as change agent for other global transformation programs, e.g. Simplification
• Up skilling the cluster finance function to cater for new requirements and develop proper pipeline
The job requires a High Level Education with a proven track record of demonstrating real business acumen. Due to the high complexity of the position, with a lot of stakeholders and dotted lines, it is expected that the candidate can navigate in such an environment with confidence.
A successful candidate is able to influence without authority at various levels throughout the organisation, not limited to finance. The capability of creating and succeeding through others is a must for this position, and we expect you to be able to adjust communication style and method to the audience.
You should be able to motivate and develop people around you, so the results exceeds the sum of all effort, and in time get a talent pipeline established within finance.

Proper and pro-active performance management must be in place, delivering exceptional business results by providing data-based insights and superior business leadership. The job entails building a trusted relationship with key business stakeholders. Also ensuring we use and leverage simple and standard processes, not only in the cluster, but throughout the region.
The Finance Manager will work closely with our colleagues in the Philippines and India for collections, accounting and payables - being on top of the governance, protecting and enhancing our external reputation.
