Publiceringsdatum2016-03-23Dina arbetsuppgifterAs a laboratory based hepatic in-vitro Scientist you will be responsible for design and conduct of laboratory projects/experiments, generate, interpret and report scientific data to support decision making in projects. You will be working with liver models and hepatic drug handling (drug disposition through metabolism and uptake and efflux transport). The work spans both data delivery from established assays, involvement in method development and in bespoke experimental research to rapidly respond to hepatic liability issues. Methods include bioanalytical techniques such as LC-MS.
In collaboration with project representatives and other hepatic and ADME in-vitro Scientists you will have opportunity to guide decision making in projects through delivering right quality experimental design and method development where required. It includes participation in cross-functional scientific forums, and where appropriate presentation of data at lab, section or department meetings and contribution to publications.
Utbildning/erfarenhet
You have a Masters degree or equivalent qualification, a background in Pharmacy, Biology, Biochemistry, Medical Biosciences or similar. You are versatile in in-vitro laboratory skills (enzyme and transporter kinetic studies), handling of human cells (e.g. conducting hepatocyte and other cell based assays) and have experience in bioanalytical techniques, e.g. LC-MS. Additionally you have good communication skills in English, both verbal and in writing, a demonstrated ability to work in team and independently. Experience in the area of liver biology, hepatic injury, drug metabolism and experience from industry environment is a plus, but not mandatory.
