This is an exciting and dynamic area where you will work alongside a procurement team based in the EU and China, and key stakeholders such as R&D, Strategy & Business, Manufacturing & Logistics. Our client works in the automotive industry.
Procurement (DM) is in charge of acquiring all the necessary materials for production in the Engine plants located in the EU and China. The client's goal is to purchase high-quality casting components for their plants in Europe and China at the most cost-effective price. They work closely with various important departments such as R&D, Manufacturing Engineering, SQM, and After Market in a global setting. Their aim is to collaborate with stakeholders and suppliers to create and deliver outstanding value. Furthermore, we encourage you to take on additional responsibilities outside of your primary role to enhance your skills and personal growth.
Job Assignments
• Lead and enhance the purchasing activities for the Base Engine Department
• Accountable for identifying and executing strategies to minimize costs
• Serve as the primary liaison between the company and suppliers
• In charge of assessing market standards and evaluating suppliers
• Engaged in strategic sourcing and negotiation processes
• Accountable for collaborating with internal clients
• Managing orders and overseeing agreement procedures
• Responsible for enhancing and streamlining the supplier network
Requirements
• You are business-oriented and focused on achieving outcomes
• You are driven and innovative, constantly seeking new ways to solve problems and seize opportunities, and are not afraid to question the status quo
• You are a reliable team player who values honesty and integrity, and actively works on personal growth.
• You have the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously, enjoy tackling challenges, and are dedicated to setting and achieving objectives
• Prior experience in sourcing
• Degree in Business or Technical studies (or an equivalent qualification)
• It is important to have 2-5 years of experience in Commercial and/or Engineering work, which includes commercial negotiations and legal knowledge. Additionally, having a strong understanding of business practices, maintaining high ethical standards, and being able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines is crucial
• Exceptional communication skills in English and Swedish, both written and spoken
Meritorious
It is a plus if you have experience from the automotive industry.
