Our team develops processes, methods and tools related to project portfolio management, project management and business administration. This area is of significant importance to improve the return on the Volvo Group's product development investments.

We are now looking for a Business Sub-Portfolio Manager to join our team. This position offers a stimulating and dynamic work environment, as well as the opportunity to deepen your expertise.

Main responsibilities

You will manage the tactical development of the IT Solution Sub-Portfolio called Early Phases & Business Administration to support Group Trucks and Business Area Strategic Objectives, Process & IT Long Term Plans, and to meet business demands from the business and Process Owners/Process Managers.

This involves managing the application portfolio, being responsible to create, anchor and follow-up the portfolio budget, and securing the successful initiation and execution of projects in line with portfolio directives and business priorities.

Location
The position is based in Gothenburg, but is expected to serve all sites where Group Trucks Technology is present. Travel may be needed occasionally.

Required qualifications

Successful applicants should have at least 3 years of experience of IT Development. Through project management experience, you are expected to be highly skilled in dynamically balancing scope, time, cost, quality, and delivery of projects, programs or portfolios, as well as having a general understanding of IT architecture. To be successful in this position, you need to have solid communication skills, the ability to build trustful relations, and to be business literate, i.e. to understand and have experience from cost/benefit analysis and building business cases.

Experience from project portfolio management will be strongly meriting. We also consider experience from product development, steering committee work, and strategy and roadmap work as meriting.

As we work in a global organization, it is important to have a good command of the English language, as well as understanding and draw value from diversity.

You have a Master 's degree in Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent. Certifications e.g. PfMP, PMP or educational specializations relevant to the role are also meriting.
