As a Business Development Associate within the Energy and Sustainability Services division you will be part of our EMEA sales team. In this position you will serve as part of the EMEA Sales organization and is responsible for helping future-Clients succeed by leading them on their Active Energy Management journey - a strategic approach that integrates how they buy and use energy whilst operating more sustainably every day - and working collaboratively with customers to develop Solutions and Business Cases focused on recurring energy management, sustainability, data and reporting services.
Your responsibilities
• Strong focus on new business development to generate business leads and new opportunities
• Identify prospects that match the profile of Schneider Electric's Energy & Sustainability Services solutions
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of customer needs and our global services and software portfolio. Based on this understanding, you will recognize and articulate appropriate approaches to address gaps and enhance and communicate strengths in a way that meets customer needs and differentiate us from the competition.
• Communicate and interact with business decision-makers at all levels to identify needs and requirements as well as market opportunities
• Handoff these qualified prospects to appropriate Sales Manager but stay engaged through the sales cycle
• Meeting and exceeding goals against a set of quantitative and qualitative sales metrics
• Provide support in developing standardized and bespoke RFP responses
• Maintain prospect (CRM) database information
• Become a key contributor to assist in tailoring the global portfolio to address the needs of the EMEA market
• Collaborate with multiple sales teams in order to execute and orchestrate customer solutions
• Collaborate and interact with other multi-national marketing and sales teams and departments within Schneider Electric
• Work with internal Schneider stakeholders to uncover new business opportunities for ESS within the existing client base of Schneider Electric
• Be prepared to travel to prospect meetings as required and support our field sales team

About you
• The ideal candidate has completed a bachelor's degree or higher within the field of Sustainability or Environmental Sciences, Energy, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
• You have already gained successful experiences in an inside sales position or have some initial experience and demonstrated success in an external sales role and are looking for a new and exciting opportunity to grow into a top performer with Schneider Electric.
• We are looking for an ambitious and driven candidate with previous experience selling consultancy services in the energy management industry to industrial and/or commercial clients. Previous professional experiences and knowledge from working within the energy, sustainability or environmental industry are advantageous.
• You speak fluent English with excellent verbal, written and presentation skills. Any additional language is an asset.
• You are proficient in Microsoft Office environment, CRM systems (salesforce.com or equivalent).
