Business Controller
We are now looking for a Business Controller at CooperVisions Nordic office in Gothenburg. As an active member of the Country Management team, the role will work closely with the local Country Manager, regional HR and FP&A, and report to the Head of Finance, based in the UK.

The role as Business Controller at Cooper Vision, is to take overall responsibility for the finance function within the Nordic region. We believe you are a commercially focused person and a strategic business partner, who will deliver insightful information to enhance management decision making. This is a highly visible and hands-on role, which requires a strong commercial understanding and business acumen. You are business oriented, and strive to contribute to its success. The ideal candidate has excellent communications skills and has an open mind set.

Key responsibilities:

• Overall responsibility for the Finance function, including overseeing the Reporting and Internal Controls compliance, and managing the Finance Team

• Budgets and forecasts - Leading engagement with the Commercial Team, driving and coordinating the process, and Identifying savings for future investment opportunities, providing intelligent insight into business performance etc.

• Supporting local initiatives, driving and challenging business proposals to help drive long term profitability

• Ensure all local statutory, tax and compliance reporting is complete and accurate

• Drive consistent reports and analysis of financial results, to support both the timely and accurate monthly close process and management reviews

• Supporting business cases and ensuring key risks and opportunities are identified and understood by Key Stakeholders

• Overall responsibility for on-site HR Admin, liaising with Regional HR where necessary

Job Qualifications/ Required competence:

• Academic degree in finance

• Experience in the field of Accounting, preferably in an international environment

• Experience of managing a Finance team

• Experience of US GAAP and SOX compliance models.

• Strong analytical capabilities as well as a good understanding of business drivers

• You have to be able to communicate freely in both English and Swedish.
