Volvo Penta Process & IT is a global function responsible for P&IT planning and portfolio management, Process & Solution Management, Information Architecture and Enterprise architecture. The process & IT function is an active part in developing and shaping the Volvo Penta processes and IT solutions, End to End, in order to meet current and future business needs.
Position description
Volvo Penta wants our customers to perceive premium quality from the moment they first become aware of us, through the sales and delivery process, and throughout owning and operating our products. To support these objectives, Volvo Penta will in the coming years make significant efforts in digitalization, new solutions and services. An important part of the digitalization will be carried by Embedded Software (ESW) based products and services.
Volvo Penta Process & IT is now hiring a Process Manager / Business Sub-portfolio manager (BSPM).
The mission is to make ESW based products and services easily available for customers to buy and install, and efficient to produce, distribute and maintain.
As BSPM, you will be an important part of developing Volvo Pentas core digital capabilities. You will work in a cross-functional network; driving and accelerating the development of our ESW related processes and solutions.
The BSPM is a global functional role, reporting to the VP, Head of Process & IT.
The position is based at Volvo Penta headquarters in Göteborg, Sweden.
Occasional travel outside Gothenburg is expected.
Core Responsibilities
• Manage the End-to-End process flows for ESW, drive process improvements, design and definitions
• Own and manage Volvo Pentas ESW related IT solutions according to the Volvo Group Solution Management Directive
• Identify and translate business needs and opportunities into Process & Solution development roadmaps, project proposals and operational development proposals
• Drive pre-studies to identify, design, scope and anchor improvement proposals
• In close collaboration with your stakeholders, Identify and plan for resource & competence capacity needs to support development roadmaps

Minimum Years of Experience Required
• Minimum 8 years of professional experience from working with process and solution development in a complex business environment
Minimum Education Required
• Academic degree on master level in Business Administration, Engineering or other relevant for this position
COMPETENCIES & SKILLS
• Excellent understanding on how to leverage Information Technology to develop services, business processes and capabilities
• Good understanding of Embedded software solutions and processes is valued.
• Experience from process development, documentation tools and methods
• A customer, innovation and business development oriented mind-set
• Ability to identify, define and personally drive improvements in a heterogeneous global context
• Team-player with strong interpersonal and leadership skills: ability to effectively collaborate, network and interface with a wide variety of colleagues on different levels, across functions and regions
• Excellent analytical and planning skills
• Proven capacity to execute against targets, even when conditions are rapidly changing
• Volvo Leadership competencies according to Leading People level or higher
• Learning on the fly with a "Go to Gemba", boots on the ground attitude
• Excellent listening, communication and presentation skills
• Fluent in spoken and written English
