Kort beskrivning av företaget: The department aims to pursue high quality studies, at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and research. Four full undergraduate programs (occupational therapy, physiotherapy, speech therapy and audiology) are within the section. The Occupational Therapy program provides education at bachelor's, master's and doctoral levels. A new curriculum for the undergraduate occupational therapy program was adopted in 2013 and is under implementation, which is why the continuous development of new courses is included. The program has a creative research environment, with a strong focus on frail older persons.

Beskrivning av arbetsuppgifter: SUBJECT AREA DESCRIPTION: The subject is based on occupational science which encompasses the knowledge and study of man in activity, her ability to use her time and environment, physical as well as social and cultural. Furthermore, occupational science includes the knowledge of human engagement; desire and ability to have and take control of her life in the society she lives in. Activity and awareness of habits, lifestyles and the environment are also included. JOB ASSIGNMENTS: The position includes working in a teaching environment with a strong focus on student-centered learning. It involves teaching in both occupational science and occupational therapy. Teaching will be in both Swedish and English. In addition, the assistant lecturer will take part of the research group FRESH conducting research in the project "Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment for frail older people in Swedish acute care settings - a randomized controlled multicenter study. The study consists of two parts: 1) a randomized controlled multicenter study and 2) an implementation study that runs parallel and studies the implementation of the CGA in order to find out why intervention works / does not work as planned. Both qualitative and quantitative research will be conducted within the framework of the project.
Beskrivning av kvalifikationer: ELIGIBILITY: The qualifications for academic positions are given in Chapter 4, Section 3 - 4 of the Higher Education Ordinance. PhD with demonstrated teaching skills and registered occupational therapist. ASSESMENT: In the assessment, emphasis will be placed on the assessment of scientific skill. Knowledge of both qualitative and quantitative research is a merit as well as experience in conducting research with frail older people in a hospital context. Importance will also be attached to good communication skills. Fluent Swedish is necessary in conducting interviews but English language skills are also important. In addition, pedagogical skills at the undergraduate level and / or at the advanced level is also a merit. The successful candidate may also be asked to complete an educational training program within the first two years of employment.
