Internationella Engelska Skolan Liljeholmen is located at Tellusborsvägen in Hägersten. The academic expectations for the students in the school will be high, as well as the expectations on the teaching staff to deliver education of the highest possible quality. We will all work together, comfortably and sensibly, to create a calm and orderly environment where teachers can teach and students can learn. Teaching is done in English or Swedish depending on the subject and the teacher's language skills, and our staff comes from all over the world, but proficient skills in English are a requirement for all positions, as English is used for all staff communication. We follow the Swedish curriculum. Personal qualifications as well as an interest and belief in the school's educational philosophy are determining factors for recruitment. We expect our staff to be self-sufficient, positive and to have high work ethics. It is also important that you are reliable and that you work well with others. The school have classes in year levels 4-9 and has 930 students academic.

We are now recruiting an Assistant Principal for year 4-6 who has proven experience and a genuine interest in the development of teaching and learning for the age group 10-12 years of age. The position is to start in August 2018, to add to the current management team consisting of three individuals; Principal, Vice Principal and Academic Manager.

Working closely with the Principal and Vice Principal the successful candidate will be expected to ensure that the IES Ethos is upheld throughout the school. The Assistant Principal 4-6 will help coordinate all aspects of the school's activities; in particular policy implementation supporting our ethos and educational philosophy. The candidate will be responsible for managing the staff and students on a daily basis and must therefore have a keen interest in working with a wide range of people.

In addition to being an able leader and manager you also need to be a flexible team player dealing with tasks that are challenging but at the same time rewarding. Clear convictions, discipline and structure provide the basic conditions for focusing on education and achieving outstanding. We would like you to be fluent in both Swedish and English.
