About the job
As our Area Sales Manager your challenge will be to help us achieve our vision and become the world's leading innovator and supplier of premium X-ray sources. You will have full responsibility of the Asia-Pacific market (excluding China). Furthermore, since this is a new position, you will have the opportunity to build up and create Excillum's Asia Pacific sales channels.
This position is based at Excillum headquarter in Kista (Stockholm, Sweden) and is a part of our highly skilled Sales, Marketing and Customer Service team. Additionally, due to the technical complexity of the products and customer solutions, the position involves frequent contact with both RnD and manufacturing that are also situated at the same location.
Most important tasks
• Develop and execute a territory plan and achieve sales target for products and service within your region.
• Managing and build up of agents and distributors in your region and collaborate with local OEM partners.
• Propose and promote Excillum X-ray source solutions and define the most optimal solution for the client's needs.
• Responsibility for compliance of proposed solutions with local regulations.
• Handle bidding processes.
• Frequent travels; both for meeting with current users, potential customers, agents/distributors/OEMs and for participating in trade shows, exhibits and scientific conferences.
Qualifications
• MSc/PhD in Chemistry/Physics or similar.
• Solid experience from successful business projects in high-tech industries.
• Practicality of handling agents/distributors and of consultative sales.
• Previous background from business in the Asia-Pacific region, especially India, Korea, Japan and Australia.
• Extensive communication skills in English, and a customer-orientated attitude. Proficiency in Asian languages is a plus.
