Volvo Penta Region Europe is now looking and recruiting Application Engineer to join the Dealer Business Management (DBM) department.
The Application Engineer shall work closely together with the Dealer Business Management and with Volvo Penta Centers (VPC's) around Europe to develop the business from finding prospect customers all the way to serial production has started. Secure and support new versatile engine OEM projects, repower of older machines and training of key VPC personnel are the primary tasks.
Main areas of responsibility:
Visit customers and prospects together with Volvo Penta Centers, clarifying technical issues and in the long run make VPC become self-sustainable
Support and train our VPC's to install an engine into a machine
Give input and follow up market requirements in product development projects
Develop a product configuration together with OEM engineering
Support VPC with technical input required to negotiate commercial solutions
Support the VPC design and prototype work with technical documentation, advice and function tests
Co-operate with internal functions that support the VPC business
Feedback customer demands into Volvo Penta in order to secure fulfilment of the market requirements
Location: To be located in our office in Benelux or in the Germany, after one year of work together with your central team in HQ Gothenburg Sweden.
Travelling is required.

Qualifications:
We believe that you should have a technical background, Master of Science or an equivalent technical education. Basic work experience, e.g. design or testing of heavy duty machinery or driveline components is a merit. You must be fluent in English, both in speech and writing. Other languages, particularly German and Dutch, is a merit.

Integrity, own drive, accountable and holistic view will be keywords in the selected candidate's profile. Much of the work will be carried out in cross functional teams. Therefore it is absolutely vital to be a good listener and to able to communicate in a good manner, but also to be have a team oriented spirit.
