hela Sverige You will be part of Substation Automation Products in Västerås. ABB?s Global center for protection and control within the transmission area is in Västerås. We have approximately 200 employees who develop, manufacture and market products as well as offer comprehensive service to power customers worldwide. We work in close collaboration with ABB units in 80 countries and 95 % of the sales are exported. ABB is a world leader within protection and control with several groundbreaking technological innovations, which through quick fault detection has improved the availability and efficiency of power transmission networks.
Do you want to use your skills to inspire trust and confidence in international customers? In this position, which in addition offers you excellent development opportunities in areas like Product Management, R&D or sales, you will focus on application engineering and technical marketing of products, functions and features within a designated geographical region. A key factor to succeed is to develop and maintain technical relations with the clients. You will among other things develop applications that enable protection and control of power networks using PCM 600. Furthermore you will participate in the approval and homologation process of products aimed for specific markets. In this process you will be responsible for power network studies in RTDS-simulator. To help customers choosing the right products and features will also be your task. You will in this role assume responsible for further development of work processes and activities for power network simulations in the RTDS-environment. If you are keen on using your high level of competence in an international environment with many client relations, then the position as Application Engineer may be right for you.
You have a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with specialization in power systems. Skills in protection and control methods of electrical power networks are essential in this position as well as knowledge in power networks and Real Time Network simulation. If you have worked with application engineering in substation automation systems or as Project Manager in the past, it is positive. Also experience from protection and control methodology is regarded as an additional qualification. Since you will operate in an international environment fluency in English is a must, whereas knowledge in Swedish, Spanish, German and French will be of great use. As a person you need to be open-minded and honest. You inspire trust and confidence in others and enjoy traveling and meeting new people.
