Welcome to E.ON - and become a part of the energy transition. Together with our customers and partners, we ensure that electricity and heat are produced, used, and recycled in smarter ways. If you have passion and believe in the power of collaboration, E.ON is the place for you.

About the role
E.ON is seeking an experienced Analytics Engineer to join our Data & Analytics team in Malmö. In this role, you will be responsible for developing data infrastructure, ensuring efficient data flow, and optimizing data systems to support our business operations. You will collaborate closely with our Energy business within Energy Retail, our IT teams and the data community within E.ON, to drive data-driven decision-making and innovation. Within the team you will work alongside data analysts, data scientists and data governance specialists.
This is not a typical IT role; it involves end-to-end data work across the entire value chain, from collaborating with the business on problem-solving and ideation, to creating technical data solutions iteratively with the business and team, and finally publishing data products for business use, managing and further developing them.
The primary responsibilities include performing data extraction, transformation, and loading using SQL, and conducting data modeling through SQL views. Additionally, the role involves automating data workflows using Azure Data Factory.

Your experience
We're looking for someone who brings a broad skill set and a solid technical foundation, but just as importantly, someone who enjoys working across different contexts and collaborating with others. You're comfortable navigating both technical and business conversations, and you know how to turn complex ideas into clear, practical solutions. If you like improving how things work and making data more accessible and useful for others, you'll likely enjoy this role.
In addition to your collaborative mindset, we believe you bring a solid foundation in data engineering and business intelligence, supported by a relevant academic background. You enjoy shaping data into meaningful structures and you're comfortable working with SQL for data extraction, transformation, and modeling. You likely have experience using Python and Pandas for analysis, and you're familiar with business intelligence tools that help turn data into insights. If you've worked with Snowflake in the Microsoft Azure environment, that's a plus, as is experience building Azure ML pipelines with Python. Since we collaborate across teams and borders, being comfortable in both Swedish and English is definitely helpful.
In this role, your curiosity, collaborative mindset, and interest in solving real business challenges with data will be valuable. You enjoy exploring complex questions and turning them into practical, data-informed solutions. With a structured and analytical approach, you help create clarity where things may be unclear - always with the goal of making data useful and impactful.

What it's like to work with us
You'll be part of a team that combines deep expertise with an open-minded atmosphere. We take ownership and drive progress, while also being unafraid to jump into new challenges or support one another across roles. Whether you're senior or just starting out, your voice matters here. We value open dialogue, knowledge sharing, and learning from each other's strengths. There's a genuine effort to connect as a team, and we believe that collaboration and curiosity are just as important as technical skills.
At E.ON, we actively work with inclusion - it is crucial for driving the energy transition forward. We want you to feel welcome! We strive to create a safe working environment with meaningful tasks and good opportunities for development. We constantly challenge ourselves to create a welcoming workplace where we hope you will thrive.
We work towards a more sustainable energy society, but it is equally important that our employees have the conditions to take care of their personal sustainability. Therefore, we offer great benefits to ensure your well-being and a good work-life balance. Some of these include shorter working hours than the industry standard, health insurance, free healthcare, and more.

Welcome to join us on our journey to a sustainable future! The last day to apply is June 6th.
