The arena
Pharmaceutical Sciences was established as part of the IMED Biotech Unit in January 2016, and is a team of 200 people across four sites (Gothenburg, Manchester, Cambridge, Boston), bringing a broad set of specialist skills and cutting-edge science to influence the design of new molecules and early clinical trials.

Pharmaceutical Sciences work is focused in three key areas:

Early chemical development (ECD) with a highly innovative team designing and producing synthetic molecules.

Early product development (EPD) utilising specific expertise in the formulation of products based on established technologies for candidates going into clinical testing, including device strategies for inhalation and parenteral drugs in early development.

Advanced drug delivery (ADD) with the remit to deliver cutting-edge technology to enable effective molecules of the future. By focusing on cellular targeting, improving cellular uptake and enhancing drug delivery, ADD aim to improve target efficacy and delivery of both small molecules and new modalities such as miRNA, mRNA and antisense oligonucleotide therapies.

The role
The purpose of the role is to provide full administrative support to Senior Managers as well as provide broader department support to a number of managers. Tasks may include project management of functional activities, representing Pharm Sci in communication/responses to different stakeholders, booking meetings, maintaining documentation, establishing systems and structures for day to day functioning of the department.

Accountabilities

* Collaborate with PAs in the UK to deliver the accountabilities below globally
* Calendar/Inbox management: Proactively manage diaries to optimise schedules, and answer or redirect enquiries from internal or external sources. For VP support, ensure inbox priorities are dealt with promptly and efficiently.
* Travel and Expenses/ Purchasing and Invoicing: Manage complex international travel and visa arrangements, monitoring spend and driving efficiencies, and ensure compliance when processing and reconciling expenses, and raising Purchase Orders
* Meeting and Events: Co-ordinate and schedule internal and external (including international) meetings, make travel arrangements, and where required attend meetings to manage agendas, record actions and monitor progress
* Technology/IT skills: Maintain and develops expertise in appropriate IT, travel booking and communication systems and coach others where possible
* Information management: Maintain tracking spreadsheets and sharepoint online / BOX / AstraZeneca Intranet postings
* Communications: May be responsible for drafting Newsletters, slides, communication emails to the department

Minimum experience

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Swedish
* Excellent organization skills and the ability to manage multiple projects/ tasks simultaneously and effectively, identifying high priority, urgent tasks for immediate action so that all activities are completed accurately and on time
* Able to challenge the status quo, think beyond the role and act upon opportunities to work more effectively
* Knowledge of MS office, Outlook, Calendar, PowerPoint and web-based systems
* Track record of handling and resolving challenges quickly and efficiently, with flexibility to adapt to changing situations and priorities
* Can create and maintain systems for efficiency for both self and others

About the employment
The position as Administrator is as a consultant with start immediately. As a consultant, you are employed in Adecco Sweden. The assignment will start as soon as possible and is expected to last until 11/6 2018, with possible extension.
