BACKGROUND
"From good to great"
Weber has five production units in Sweden and a total of 100 people working in the production organisation.
The production units are located in Riksten, Sala, Vingåker, Göteborg and Kvidinge. The units are specialised with different capabilities and product ranges.
All production within Saint-Gobain is based on the World Class Manufacturing programme (WCM) to ensure a high level of safety, quality and productivity. The World Class Manufacturing program aims to identify, monitor and improve on parameters which are key to remaining at the forefront of production excellence, producing consistently high quality products, improving lead times reducing scrap and waste through process adjustment reducing energy and maintenance costs.
The focus is now to intensify the WCM work and become even better on all production sites.
THE ROLE AS INDUSTRIAL DIRECTOR, WEBER
The Industrial Director reports directly to the MD and is a key member of the Weber management team. Your main responsibility will be to maintain and improve production operations for Weber. As a part of the management team you will also play an active part in the overall activities within the company.
The production organisation today consists of approx. 100 co-workers with site managers as direct reports and includes other functions as EHS, Quality and Maintenance in the responsibility.
The position has the following main responsibilities:
• Manage and lead the production team and the factory organisation. Continuously work in securing that the production is ready for current and future business challenges.
• Establish strategic direction, department objectives and provide leadership for all production related activities including quality standards, production efficiency, continuous improvement, safety standards, training needs, cost reduction and employee motivation.
• Lead and drive continuous improvements through WCM methodology.
• Lead in a manner consistent with the values and principles of the company and with the objective of creating a positive and inclusive culture.
• Effectively partner with R&D, Supply Chain, HR and other departments as necessary.
• Hire, train and supervise employees as needed. Initiate and lead development of employees, performance management and training initiatives.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
We put strong emphasis on finding a person with excellent leadership skills. We are looking for someone with a high personal drive, result orientation, and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
You have a proven track record in managing people in a production and manufacturing environment.
Requirements:
• Minimum Bachelor degree in Engineering
• Past experience of production management preferably from a similar industry.
• Experience of working with change/quality management processes, especially WCM/Lean/TPM programs on an advanced level.
• Ability to communicate on a high professional level in Swedish and English.
