Challenges you will work on:
In this exciting and dynamic role, you will play a pivotal role in steering financial and operational integrity across SAS. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
• Partner with the CFO and senior leaders across the business to drive and challenge financial accountability and provide financial insights to support complex decision-making and strategic initiatives. Your ability to collaborate, influence and challenge key stakeholders will be crucial to succeed.
Build, lead and develop a high-performing FP&A team, who continuously develop and put the financial agenda on the map
Full responsibility for leading budgeting, forecasting, rolling forecasts, and long-term financial planning across all airline functions
Align financial strategy with corporate objectives; route profitability, fleet planning, and network expansion, ensuring sustainable growth and profitability
Monitor business performance across an international and dynamic business environment. You'll lead scenario modeling and financial analysis to support short- and long-term strategic initiatives and complex executive decisions
Support internal and external audits, ensuring adherence to aviation-specific financial standards. Ensure financial practices comply with aviation regulations and accounting standards
Collaborate with relevant internal stakeholders to manage financial exposure and regulatory obligations
The Team
You will be part of a high-performing team composed of 30 talented business controllers and four direct reporting leaders. Our team values collaboration, innovation, and a commitment to excellence. To be successful, we believe you have
10+ years of relevant experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably within the airline industry. You have a proven track record and deep understanding of airline economics, cost drivers, and regulatory frameworks, in an international and transformative business environment
You will collaborate cross-functionally to ensure financial alignment and enable strategic decision-making; hence you have excellent skills in stakeholder management
Strong communication and presentation skills to deliver insights and convey a financial message to key stakeholders
An adaptive, innovative and strategic mindset, with deep industry insight and the ability to navigate the regulatory and economic complexities of aviation
Fluency in English - spoken and written
• Bachelor or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA preferred)
