The American Embassy in Stockholm assists in the promotion of strong bilateralties between the United States and Sweden and plays an active role in public diplomacy, business services, and traditional diplomatic relations.
We have a position open for a temporary Chef at the Ambassador's Residence.
Beskrivning av arbetsuppgifter:
Cooks in the private residence of the Chief of Mission for entertainment functions for senior Swedish governmental and business leaders and the diplomatic corps. Also cooks for the Chief of Mission and family. Responsible for food purchasing, cleanliness and efficient operations of the kitchen in connection to the events. Identifies need for additional help for large entertainment events.
Beskrivning av kvalifikationer:
Completion of secondary school and culinary school is required. Three years of previous experience is required. Must be able to prepare food for receptions and for formal seated dinners for larger groups of people. Creativity in the preparation and presentation of food. Must be able to manage the entire kitchen operation effectively. Level III (working knowledge) English is required.
SELECTION PROCESS:
Applicants are selected for appointment on the basis of the education, experience, and suitability for the position to be filled. Therefore, it is essential that all candidates address the required qualifications above in the application.
This position is available to Swedish nationals or permanent legal residents as well as to American citizens with permanent residence permits in Sweden.
