We have a strong legacy formed by our roots in industrial steel innovations, and with expertise and imagination, we advance the world through engineering. We're currently on an exciting growth journey, where we make the shift towards enhanced productivity, efficiency and sustainability in a constantly evolving business.
Part of this work is our Group Internal Audit - an independent and integral piece of the success of our Sandvik strategy, as we ensure an operating model that is designed and run effectively. This is achieved by delivering transparent and objective assurance to stakeholders and by providing relevant improvement recommendations to the business. To join us, we're now looking for a confident and pragmatic business leader, with excellent communication skills and a diplomatic approach.
Your mission
In this position, your main objective is to provide assurance to the Executive Management Team and Audit Committee. You ensure compliance and alignment with our audit methodology, internal policies, procedures and standards. With your experience and engagement, you serve as a subject matter expert to our business management in matters regarding strategic initiatives, challenges and changes in the organization. You also make sure to provide high quality and relevant business insights as an integral part of our group activities.
Acting in our decentralized environment, you're known for your great collaboration skills and the way you form strong networks. Your stakeholders are the Sandvik Audit Committee, our Executive Management and other business management teams, as well as our employees all across the world.
Being a true Sandvik leader, you represent our values and culture as you develop and coach your team of approximately 15 employees, as well as a number of part time guest auditors from different areas of the business. You report to the Chairman of the Audit Committee and to our Sandvik Group CFO, and you're located in our Group headquarters in Stockholm. Some travel is normally included in your job.
Your background and character
We need a motivated and business-minded professional with solid experience from running an international audit function, combined with excellent skills in the audit area and risk-based audit methodology. You also bring a genuine understanding of the business processes included in a global manufacturing industry. During your career, you have gained good skills in data analytics and its tools and processes. Since we operate in an international setting, you need cultural awareness and great communication skills in English, while knowledge of other languages is beneficial.
Your analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude enable you to easily grasp and act on the complex and decentralized arena that forms our business, and you always work in pragmatic and proactive ways. Other keys to your success are your agility, an innovative approach and a passion for collaborations. Acting in a very broad platform and with a large number of stakeholders, you're skilled in balancing business needs with confidence and integrity - respectfully knowing when to push forward to reach results. You also enjoy a bit of time in spotlight as you communicate and present information in various internal and external forums.
Our culture
At Sandvik, we offer a global arena of brilliant minds, and we're technology driven, innovative, entrepreneurial and inclusive! Success is a team effort, and we believe that diversity inspires, so we invest in supporting each other, learning together and celebrating our differences.
