Do you want to be able to influence millions of people's experience every day? Come join us!
As UX Designer you will be a subject matter expert and customer advocate in developing the future Stena Line user experience across our new website and other digital touchpoints. Our vision is to create a consistent and seamless customer experience.
We are looking for a UX designer with strong visual skills, who wants to work with all parts of the design process - doing research, ideation, create and test prototypes and support and guide the development team in implementing the design. You are focused on the outcome and thrive when you get to design products which meets both user and business goals.
You will work in an agile environment in a cross functional team, but will also collaborate with designers from other teams. Our ambition is to deliver value to our customers as fast as possible without compromising on quality. You will contribute by keeping the feedback loops short with close collaboration with stakeholders and developers, as well as getting customer feedback early on.
Key responsibilites:
• Understand and identify business and user needs, pain points and opportunities by initiating and conducting research, for example usability testing, interviews and surveys.
• Design functionality supporting our customer acquisition-, conversion-, upsell- and retention strategies.
• Communicate and visualize the user experience by creating wireframes, mock ups and interactive prototypes in line with Stena Line's brand guidelines, accessibility standards and best practices.
• Contribute to Stena Line's design system by improving existing components and creating new components in the UI library.
• Present insights from research to the team and stakeholders to build empathy for the users and understanding of the users' experiences of the product.
• Use insights from research to further improve the usability of the product.
What you will experience
Stena Line exists to be a trusted link between people, places and societies. We play a vital role in keeping everything connected. We make sure people and goods arrive where they need to be, enabling business to thrive and societies to grow. We connect family and friends, and make it possible to explore new destinations or revisit favourite places.
Stena Line wants to continue to be a safe, flexible and attractive employer and have now introduced a flexible workplace for our office employees. We believe a hybrid solution between the office and working remote will create the best environment for us to be creative, productive and find a work-life balance creating magic today and tomorrow.
Who you are
At Stena Line your personality matters as much as how good you are at what you do. We are looking for someone that sees opportunities rather than obstacles. You're driven, likes taking initiatives and enjoys working both independently and together with a team. You're prestigeless, humble and want to contribute to an inclusive culture where we learn from each other. You actively try to avoid getting stuck on designing the perfect solution or analysing something for longer than necessary and if you find yourself there, you're quick to seek the help of others. You're also thorough with attention to detail.
Qualifications:
• Experience working across all stages of the design process.
• Experience from e-commerce.
• Experience from working with different CMS tools.
• Solid technical understanding of digital/web/mobile platforms.
• University degree in interaction design/UX or a related subject.
• A few years of experience working as a UX designer.
• Experience working with SCRUM related processes.
• Fluent in English and Swedish.
Plus but not a requirement:
• Experience from development in HTML/CSS/JavaScript
