Do you embrace continuous improvements and enjoy working in teams? Are you pro-active, service minded and target oriented?
Well, then you should apply today. We at Volvo Group Trucks Purchasing are looking for a buyer in the Uptime& Adaptation team to drive the aluminum casting portfolio and we need you!
What is our offer to you?
Volvo mission is to drive prosperity in the transport industry and one of the foundation stone is the customer success! Fulfilling customers' demands rapidly and keep our promises by having their product up and running during its complete life cycle is exiting but might be also a true challenge. That requires for sure a change in mindset and to be innovative, capturing creative supply solutions on the market as well as driving it together with our preferred suppliers.
Typically, on aluminum casting, the business model for high volume production does not fit with the business we operate in service parts. The challenge is then to structure and operate the business in the way which is efficient for the service parts business and in that way, bring value to the end customers!
Are you ready to take the ride and embrace the challenge?
This is us, your new colleagues
You will have near colleagues working spread across the world and work in different networks, teams and groups. You will be part of the Uptime powertrain EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) team, daily work in a dynamic and integrated European team located in Gothenburg and Lyon and become a key player in the Uptime, Adaptation and Synergies team.
Uptime, Adaptation and Synergies is a global organization within Group Trucks Purchasing (GTP) who support Service Parts Purchasing, Vehicle Adaptation Purchasing and aim at building strong purchasing synergies amongst the various Purchasing organizations of Volvo Group.
This is your mission
You will be leading the purchasing activities on your scope with all internal and external stakeholders to ensure the customers maximum satisfaction.
That means that you will own and develop the Segment Business Plan on Aluminum Casting for U&A; scout and seek for the best suppliers plus bring creative and innovative solutions on this segment on the whole value chain (challenge design, sourcing & contract, procurement). You will also lead the negotiations and supplier performance reviews on this segment, manage your purchasing portfolio for service parts in order to secure the best QDCF-TSR performance and perform purchasing activities related to ordering, logistics and financial flows to the suppliers.
At GTP, we strive to be a multicultural and global organization. We welcome applicants which can even further increase our diversity. Come join us, apply today and let's do business together!
