What do we offer?
Propulsion & Climate Labs is Volvo Cars' Centre for testing of propulsion systems, in complete vehicle as well as in component form. We operate and develop propulsion test facilities for vehicles, drivelines, electric motors, batteries and transmissions, as well as aerodynamic and climatic testing. Our work includes hardware- and software preparation of testing, test execution and processing of measurement data.
To meet the future, we need to utilize state of the art methods to test and verify next generation cars in an efficient and correct manner. Are you ready to take the lead on developing the test methods within Propulsion & Climate? Then the role as Testing Methodologist for Propulsion & Climate Labs within the group Methods & Software is the place for you to prosper.
What you'll do
You will drive the question of how we perform testing in our propulsion and climate test cells. You will have a close collaboration with data analysis engineers and promote smart testing methodologies as well as specify software capabilities of new testing environments. You will also support section colleagues and lab customers in testing methodology and help them identify future testing needs.
You will keep up-to-date with the latest trends and products concerning our current and future area of operation. You will establish best-practice of software- and hardware testing, as well as having a broad overview of which software products are available on the market to help us achieve our goals.
In this role you will also have the opportunity to build a broad network within R&D and the Laboratory.
Skills & Experience are Important:
* M.Sc. in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent experience
* Propulsion test design and analysis experience >3 years
* Knowledge of software- and hardware interfaces
* Knowledge of measurement systems

You have an analytical- and solution-based mindset, that empower your ability to draw technical conclusions out of complex systems. You are cooperative by nature and bring out the best in others.
