The role as Technical Illustrator/Coodinator is to be the team leader/specifier towards three graphical engineers in India. The mission for the group is to produce correct, pedagogical and relevant technical visual material. The visual material should be structured in a repository at the right place, in the right way, at the right time in a cost and time efficient way.
Examples of your main tasks are:
• Ensure production on visual material ordered by Divisions, mainly from R&D for new products.
• Resource planning of production of visual material.
• Plan and prioritize production of visual material.
• Be the owner of Illustration tool. Ensure development of Illustration tool.
• Take ownership (create, develop, implement and review) of guidelines and work processes for visual material.
• Proactively suggest creation of visual material that could improve Sales, Service or Customers business.
• Collect information, produce and structure in a repository and update visual material.
• Proactively evaluate production of visual material to ensure cost efficient production.
• Have a good and close cooperation with Technical writers, Technical communicators, R&D Designers, R&D PLs, GI/MVI Prod. Mgrs. and Service Master Trainers.

As part of Atlas Copco's skilled team you will produce timely, accurate, and user-friendly technical images for our products. In order to ensure that our documentation meets required quality and efficiency demands, our Technical illustrator/Graphical Engineer work in close collaboration with the Technical Communicators, R&D Designers, and Product Managers.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you need to have a genuine interest in technology and possess great interpersonal skills. We would like you to have some experience of animation, rendering and vector graphics. It is preferable that you have a basic understanding of web, IT architecture and usability (UX). You have a good understanding of how the production of visual images work, even if you might not be an expert in the software programs that we use.
It is a merit if you hold a technical degree, but is not necessary if you have relevant work experience and a technical interest. Any experience in graphics, illustration or information architecture is an advantage.
Conversational Swedish is required for this position. English is mandatory.
As a person, you are good at putting yourself into the user's shoes and have the ability to bridge the customer's needs with available technology. You see opportunities, but also potential limitations and risks. You are structured with a good sense of how to establish plans. You are a responsive and helpful team player with great communication, collaboration and networking skills. It is important that you are a versatile person who likes to have the holistic picture, and to have the role as specifier.
