Are you passionate about product development and want to reach your personal goals together with other people? Join us as a Team Manager at Rear Lighting & System Architects group. We are part of a global cross functional development team with the task to develop and launch Volvo Car Groups coming car projects. You and your team handle systems and components of Exterior Lighting, focusing on rear lighting.
What 's in it for you
You will experience international environment, broad network including external and internal stakeholders and complexed area of exterior lighting. We work closely with the Volvo Car Exterior Lighting team in China as well as having a close cooperation with Full Service Suppliers from different countries and continents. Due to electrical content of our component, and strong visual design element, we have a constant collaboration with the styling department, the electrical department as well as purchasing for the FSS questions.
The Team Manager is a servant leader having the complete employee responsibility including work environment and team 's growth and development. You continuously assists and coach, challenge team members and make sure that right competencies are in place to achieve the long term strategies.
What will you do
Due to the agile way of working, you will collaborate closely with the team 's Product Owner and Scrum Master to assure you are harmonized with goals and strategies towards team deliveries.
By staying updated with new technology, tools and way of working, you drive continuous improvements related to team deliveries and future development. You proactively work with competence development to assure the right competence in line with long term technical strategies.
By keeping yourself updated in a rapidly growing technical area with constantly new technology, you will develop good cooperation with the electrical department, design and procurement. You will represent the group and support with supplier questions, take on the responsibility for the test areas, and the light tunnel.
On a personal level we expect a strong team player, who supports the team by being present and attentive to the team 's needs, but at the same time challenge and them to continuously learn. You are a good listener and a good leader with main attention on flow and good work environment. Due to the agile transition you guide and coach employees, by providing them all information and supported need to drive this change as efficient as possible.
By being positive you encourage, facilitate and support team celebrations for achievements and acknowledge each employee 's contribution.
You and your skills
You have relevant Master of Science degree and good engineering background. With your documented leadership experience you can demonstrate your interest in people and working with and for people.
You are a driving and goal oriented team player, with strong communication skills who likes to socialize and continuously strengthen the network of contacts. You are fluent in English, written and spoken, however if you speak Swedish is a merit. You have a driving license "B", valid in Sweden.
You have technical interest, you are curious and strongly committed to develop world class products with high precision and quality. To have an experience by working together with system suppliers, is not required but is a plus.
Previous automotive experience with product development projects within electrical and/or software, it is not required but is a big plus for this role.
