hela Sverige PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
In this role, you will as a line manager lead a hardware development team responsible for key signalling solutions within Bombardier. The team includes highly skilled hardware engineers developing safety critical control systems.
We are looking for competent Team Leader in Hardware Engineering with the capability of leading the team as well as contributing with Hardware Development activities.
You will be responsible for coaching and developing the team competence as well as the team's tools and methods, to constantly strive for increased quality and improved engineering efficiency.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensure personal growth and development of team members through coaching and mentoring in embedded, safety critical, railway control systems
• Team resource planning, including hiring of staff and temporary work force
• Secure that the right resources are available for the committed projects both concerning personnel and equipment for labs and development.
• Performance reviews, including setting goals and follow up for each team member
• Secure product knowledge transfer from senior to junior engineers.
• Coordinate with the Software, System and Test engineering groups.
• Drive hardware development activities using relevant methodologies.
• Monitor hardware integration and quality.
• Contribute to the development activities by means of Architecture definition, change management or hardware design.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
• Engineering degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years' experience of hardware development in high performance embedded platforms with high fail-safe requirements and harsh operational environment, preferably in a similar complex industry
• Knowledge and willingness to adopt and communicate the latest technologies within different hardware development areas such as: Power design (SMPS, Isolated converters, Transformers, etc.), Analog design (Analog filters, Signal Chain, ADC,DAC), High speed digital circuits (DDR2, DDR3, PCI-E, etc), Design with High-end CPUs (ARM Cortex, PowerPC e series, Intel ATOM or similar), FPGA design, EMC (design, tests and troubleshooting), PCB Design, Circuit simulation (PSpice / LTSpice), Reliability Analysis
• Basic knowledge working with PDM systems
• Experience of Line Management for a team of hardware engineers and/or Project Management in embedded systems is an advantage
• Fluent English is mandatory
• Swedish is an advantage
