System Project Leader within Control and Calibration

We are looking for a System Project Leader (SPL) at Control and Calibration within Powertrain Integration. The module team consists of four areas hardware, software, calibration and projects. We work with integrating the driveline into a vehicle when it comes to electrical control units and to that related software. We work closely with our colleagues in China and Volvo Car Corporation to secure driveline functionality and calibration that is requested by the projects. We also work in close cooperation with our colleagues in the Powertrain Integration team. The SPL is leading the work within the module and is the main contact between the module team and the project.

Responsibilities and tasks

- Visualize, plan and lead a project team within Control and Calibration
- Lead the project group work within Control and Calibration and secure fulfillment of cost, time and project targets
- Balance attribute requirements (NVH, performance, fuel consumption, cost etc ) and technical requirements with affected attribute owners together with the Unit Project Leader for Powertrain Integration
- Report to and from the Unit Project Leader and anchor major decisions with Control and Calibration Line Management
- Run project meetings within Control and Calibration and participate in various meetings within CEVT as well as with our colleagues in Sweden and China
- Manage risks to minimize impact on project, pro-actively escalate risks and concerns to Control and Calibration line management for support

Profile and Background

- Minimum B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 3 years of experience from project management work in the Automotive Industry
- You have experience from control and calibration or software development
- You are fluent in English both written and spoken
- You have a positive attitude and interest in working in, and leading, project teams and where you find solutions to complex problems together with other people
- You have an ability to work independently and take decisions to deliver according to targets and project plans in a changing environment.
- You are flexible and structured
- You are willing to help others and to ask for help when needed
- You are excellent in cooperation, networking and team working
- Have an openness and awareness of Asian, European and foreign cultures.
- Ability to travel
- Knowledge in Team Center is preferred
