That will always be yesterday's Tele2. We change things - by challenging everything - every day. It may be the way people all over the world connect, work or socialize. Or it may be the way we ourselves work and operate here at Tele2. Change and challenge is in our DNA and has been since the day Tele2 was born. This takes fearlessness and courage. It takes a liberating and flexible workplace. And most important, it takes great people, with great potential, and the ability to work and develop in an ever-changing environment. People like you?
Group BI Solutions is part of the recently formed department 'Analytics & Baltic IT' and is among other things responsible for the Tele2 Big Data environment - development as well as maintenance. The BD team is made up of consultants as well as employees, working very closely together with business, doing development as well as maintenance. It is for this team that we now are on the search for a System Manager and Scrum Master.
This is the job...
We aim to work in accordance with the agile manifesto, with all that this entails in terms of, together with our PO, breaking our requirements down into minimal viable products and thereby delivering value fast and often to our requestors and stake holders. The Scrum Master of course plays a key role in this by coaching the team, removing impediments, facilitating scrum events etc.
Another equally important part of this job is that of System Management. With it comes e.g. the responsibility for setting up a system roadmap and making sure it is kept up to date and followed. The roadmap should reflect the work ongoing/planned to maintain a healthy system and to deal with potential pain points identified by Business or Maintenance. Should these roadmap activities require investments then the System Manager would take the lead on investigating a business case for the respective activity/investment and drive that through the Tele2 investment proposal process. The System Manager is also responsible for making sure the team works in accordance with the processes set up by Tele2.s management in terms of incident and problem management, system monitoring, implementation of KPIs and the reporting of these.
The System Manager we are looking for should also be prepared to do some hands-on technical work as we believe you have to know what you are managing.
This is what we're looking for in a Scrum Master/System Manager colleague:
In order to fit in this role you need to be a true team player. We believe that knowledge sharing is extremely important, not only through the daily stand-ups but continuously throughout each workday. The tempo at Tele2 is high, and you need to be prepared to react fast on new initiatives. Maintaining a structured approach to dealing with your daily tasks can be a challenge but is crucial in this role, as is drive and ability to also work independently. Considering that we want a Scrum Master that is not afraid of getting their hands dirty, we are looking for someone with a bit of a technical background and an interest in becoming even more experienced within the world of big data.
Furthermore, we expect you to:
- Have previous experience from Business Intelligence/Big Data
- Have a thorough understanding of and practical experience from working in accordance with SCRUM, and preferably a Scrum Alliance SM certificate
- Have experience from working with ITIL
- Have experience from implementing and following up on KPIs
- Have experience with Java, Python or Scala
- Be fluent in English, written and spoken
- Experience from working in the Telecom industry is meritorious
This is what Tele2 can do for you...
• a place in a flexible, approachable organisation that is characterised by strong team spirit, high commitment and satisfaction, where your expertise will make a difference.
• extensive opportunities to exciting career moves within Tele2. With us, your future will be in your hands. We provide you with the opportunity to develop through internal training courses and further-development programs.
• We take care of you, both in your role in the company, but also outside. With us, there are opportunities for flexible work and benefits in terms of health, parental allowance and pension.
