Product Development Unit (PDU) Media and Applications provides Ericsson with world-class products and business solutions that support the consumers? demand for content, provide Ericsson customers with new revenue sources and create new distribution channels for media and application companies.

PDU Media and Applications develops solutions and products for TV and media services, including enablers for content access, service and user management, media asset management, person-to-person communication, service interfaces, terminal software environments and charging.

In the area of TV and media, the aim is to ensure service delivery with quality, efficient use of network resources, charging, and scalability in a multi-service, multi-access environment. This covers both operator provided and third party provided services.
The goal is to evolve the TV and media products? architectures, including control mechanisms and interfaces on both network and terminal sides. Activities include JavaEE architecture design, TV and media delivery mechanisms, open and de-facto standardization, network and terminal control architectures, IMS control, service to access control, charging and system performance.
ErfarenhetA Master of Science in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Engineering Physics is required.
Candidates should have a mind-set combining the technical and practical development aspects with business thinking. You have excellent communication skills. You are fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Technical knowledge and up to one years experience covering one or more of the following areas is an advantage:
• JavaEE architectures.
• TV and media delivery systems.
• System level design.
• Standardization.
• Charging.
