Who are we?

The Vehicle Motion & Thermal Management Technology stream leads and develops complete vehicle motion- and thermal control solutions for Safe, Sustainable and Efficient transportation.
Within Vehicle Motion Management we develop, deliver, and maintain the sustainable system and SW solutions that contribute to centralized control of the vehicle motion in a safe efficient and effective manner for conventional and autonomous driving.
Our technology scope is broad and involves advanced mechatronic systems related to the motion and optimization of energy in our vehicles.

We are currently looking for a confident System Leader who can lead cross-functional teams in the creation of our Vehicle Motion Management products that improve customer experience and grow market share. What will you do?

As our System Leader, you will be responsible to lead product development and implement our platform solutions for different applications and Truck brands. Together with our highly skilled engineering teams and a wide cross functional network you will lead Vehicle Motion Management system development activities and deliveries related to traction (HW, SW, Integration, Verification and Validation).

The position requires you to be structured to lead and support parallel cross functional development activities and synchronize milestones and deliveries with vehicle pre-study teams, other departments, and organizations. The System Leader is a senior/specialist role in Vehicle Motion Management and require you to have good technical understanding, interest, and ability to lead people.

Who are we looking for?

You have several years of hands-on experience from leading and coordinating product development activities, preferably from different operational project models. Furthermore, you can clarify and break down complex technical problems.

We believe that you have a genuine interest in vehicle dynamics and vehicle motion control systems in particular to traction. You have a good understanding and experience of software development and the related environment. We believe you are creative and have the mindset to constantly learn and improve to have the best solutions for our customers.

As a person, you are a team player with a positive mindset, and you have the willingness to effectively build formal and informal relationship networks inside and outside the organization. Your curiosity and interest in constant self-development will make you a great professional within the Volvo Group.

Relevant Experience:
Background in strategy and product development
Work in networks, cross functionality
Excellent communication (written and oral in English) and collaboration skills

Applicants shall have Master's Degree or higher in Vehicle Dynamics, Control systems, Mechatronics, Robotics, or similar.

Meritorious to have:
C or CE Driver License
