Your workplace
Aeronautics, a business area of Saab, offers advanced airborne systems, related subsystems, unmanned aerial systems, aerostructures and services to defence customers and commercial aerospace industries worldwide. Aeronautics is also responsible for development, production, marketing, selling and supporting of the Gripen fighter.
Our section works with development, system design and model integration in simulators. This entails further development of both the simulation core and models of various aircraft sub systems, which are used in our development simulators and training products. The section consists of 9 people, who take a great interest in new techniques. We often work in team, where scrum and kanban are the most frequent work methods. We also use visual planning and aim for constant improvement in our work.
Your role
Your main tasks will include the following:
• Development, integration and testing of software and simulator system models.
• System maintenance, requirements and configuration implementation
• Support and training
• Extreme model makeover
• Moreover, trouble-shooting and solving problems in your everyday work
Your qualifications
We are looking for somebody with a broad technical interest and who is interested in working with system/software development. The work requires a good knowledge in program languages as well as the ability to transform requirements to technical solutions. It is important to approach the work with a great deal of curiosity and a non-prestigious character. The work requires the ability to act independently but also in close cooperation with other colleagues and customers within Saab. You should thrive in an environment of variation and challenges.
Further, qualifications in some of the areas stated below are highly valued:
• C, C++, ADA, QT, script language
• Dymola, Simulink and other MBSE-tools
• Unix, Linus, SUN Solaris, RedHat
• Real time simulation and simulator systems

The position entails working with classified information and requires Swedish citizenship.
