At Research and Development we create and develop the next generation outstanding luxury cars from Volvo Cars. Seats is a section within the Interior department and develops the interiors of all our cars with responsibility for the complete design process from concept development to industrialization.

Then the Group Rear Seat System Engineering is the place for you to prosper. We lead the development of a complete integrated rear seat into the vehicle balanced to project requirements.
Our diverse group consists of some twenty persons with different competences and backgrounds, who, in spite of what we work with, don't sit around. As our System Architect Rear Seat Tophat (SA) you will have the opportunity to create a large network within Volvo, you will learn a lot regarding safety and you will get a manager who is eager to keep you motivated.
Wat you'll do?
You will be the leading authority for the development tactics, requirements and strategies for rear seats. Work will be performed in a cross-functional team consisting of competences represented from stakeholders, procurement, attribute leaders within comfort and cost, concept, product, manufacturing and electrical engineers, among others.
Your task is to contribute to the global strategy and business plan for the technical area, drive requirements, attribute balancing and engineering statement of work, as well as being an expert support for solving technical issues in programs. In order to contribute in best way you will review and document requirements from other attributes and write own system requirements to suppliers and sub systems at Volvo.
Further, you will create design prerequisites and provide technical regulations within projects. A couple of the areas you will support in are; reviewing supplier documents (hardware, software, test results), quality actions and analysis.
The position will develop your strategic skills, your business acumen and your ability to make complex requests pragmatic and economically viable.

* B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in technical area or other equivalent education
* Experience in seating engineering
* Participated in at least two new seating programs from start to end
* Experience from product development and cross functional work
* Excellent English skills, spoken and written
* Driver's license "B"
