The group SW Development & Operations within the department Powertrain Controls and Calibration (PCC) consists of 15 persons who are among other things responsible for development and maintenance of our build system, integration testing and quality assurance. Our group is the main accountable for the software integration between our internally developed software and the external supplier software.

As a Software tool developer, you will develop the automated process for compiling our Volvo internally constructed software with model-based design in Simulink. We are in constant need for further development of this automated process, due to increased code base and the demand of automated testing. You will be involved in establishing a continuous integration environment with all the required parts, using Jira, Subversion, Jenkins and more. The automated process will handle all the required steps for creating and delivering a binary file ready for download to cars.
On this software-focused position, you will be a part of an energetic team, responsible for deciding the future of our automated process with virtual machines, new subversion structure and software architecture design, if we mention only few of the current inquires.

Main responsibilities
* Develop and maintain an automated process for compiling software
* Design a new subversion structure
* Maintain and update current scripts/tools to support an evolving software
* Evaluate new tools for the automated process
Required qualifications
* Master of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent
* Expertise working with C and Python
* Experience with Make
* Knowledge of Jenkins and similar continuous integration tool
* Experience with Jira or similar issue tracking tool
* Understanding of software development workflow and processes
* Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Meritorious qualifications
* Experience in software development for embedded systems
* Experience in Matlab and m-script
* Understanding of model-based systems, Simulink/TargetLink
* Experience in SystemWeaver, develop and maintain support in database
* Driver's license "B", valid in EU
Personal qualities
On this position, it is essential to have a good ability of communication, due to constant collaboration with different stakeholders. You should be a great team player, have a structural approach at your work and possess good analytical skills. You should be capable focusing on both, daily issues and long-term vision. Last, but not least, you should have the ability to assess different software solutions and enjoy developing new solutions.
