We are looking for a purpose-led Sustainability Accountant for our Sustainability Performance & Reporting Team, reporting to the Performance & Reporting Manager. You will be a key player in empowering our business to shape the agenda on how Ingka should reach its Sustainability Strategy in a fact-based way.
The ideal candidate for this role should possess outstanding knowledge in sustainability reporting, specifically environmental. Additionally, they would thrive in a high pace environment, and have outstanding stakeholder management skills.
To be successful in this role, you have:
Proven work experience in environmental sustainability, Financial Controlling or ESG reporting.
Experience as a system owner and enjoy stakeholder communication and guidance.
Experience and knowledge of external reporting standards, such as Greenhouse Gas Protocol and a strong interest in ESG standards.
Outstanding stakeholder management skills and building strong and trustful relationships on different levels in Ingka.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Sustainability Accountant, you are governing Ingka's carbon accounting set-up and interpret existing and new reporting standards to maintain, and future-proof, our environmental reporting. You will lead the communication to the data providers and quality assurance matrix to country and unit level.
Your responsibilities will include:
Own the environmental reporting solution ("Sustain") and ensure it reflects the organisational boundaries and correct consolidation set-up, as well as handling change-requests in alignment with key function (e.g. Real Estate), the software owner (Sphera) and Digital team.
Be the subject matter expertise on environmental accounting ensuring that environmental data, incl. GHG emissions, is accounted for in accordance with external requirements, such as CSRD, GHG Protocol.
Govern the data collection process into the reporting solution, ensuring internal controls are set-up and meet reporting assurance criteria.
Govern the outflow of data into the various dashboards of Ingka as well as data sharing with Inter IKEA, ensuring quality controls on metrics scope and methodologies are applied. This includes building the governance set-up around carbon accounting to ensure consistent application of emission factors and methodologies across Ingka and in alignment with Inter IKEA.
Develop and maintain guiding materials and facilitate training sessions for data providers and other stakeholders.
With your personality and data expertise, you will create real impacts in our business and enable us to reach even higher heights in our sustainability agenda and business integration.
This role is a permanent position based in Malmö, Sweden.
