hela Sverige Northvolt is looking for a Supervisor for the material handlers to join our growing Logistics team in Skellefteå.
In joining us you will play an important part from the start in building one of the first large scale European battery factories. Northvolt will play an important role in the transformation to a carbon free society.
The supervisor will lead a team of material handlers who could perform tasks like feeding or retrieving material into/from the automated warehouses, goods receiving, packing/re-packing, waste handling, transporting material internally, handling the ERP and working side by side with AGVs.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Recruit material handlers and build a learning organization where everyone contribute to the success of the team,
Ensure that detailed work instructions exist and of course train the personnel so that the instructions are followed,
Use Lean methods like 5S and improvement work,
Together with the rest of the team, be a key player to develop and maintain a safe work environment culture,
Comply with all health and safety regulations and practices on site
Perform risk assessments,
Set clear goals for the team, create and follow-up on KPIs,
Close cooperation with production, which is our closest customer.
Since the site is undergoing big installations and changes the supervisor will together with the team and central logistics functions build new flows and new ways of doing things
The person we are looking for is strongly goal oriented, have a high level of service, structured, curious and eager to learn. Skills & Requirements
Education/Experience
2 years+ of experience as a manager within logistics
Fluency in English, and preferably also Swedish spoken
Advance computer literacy (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Specific Skills/Abilities
Good technical knowledge of ERP, forklifts, automated warehouses and AGVs
Proven skills in working with continuous improvements in industrial environment
Solid understanding of Swedish health and safety regulations and practices
Fantastic organizational and leadership skills
Great at giving and receiving feedback
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines
Structured with overall perspective for coordinating resources
Flexible and can easily adapt to changes
As a supervisor we wish you to be service minded and able to create a great working environment in the team. You have good communications skills and problem-solving focus. We also think that you have a "can-do" attitude and entrepreneurial spirit with a safety mindset.
