Your future challenge
We work in an interesting and evolving environment in which we are in the technical front position in order to meet the future needs of the products. As Subsystem Engineer within the antenna and microwave system design area you will work with development of these products. This means overall system design including theoretical calculations, development of requirement specifications and to allocate them to underlying functionality. These functions will be implemented with different technologies, e. g. microwave technology and digital technology performed by other design groups. You will also define test cases and participate during the integration and verification phase and finally analyse and evaluate the measurements obtained.
We usually works in project teams which means that you will co-operate with people from other competence areas.

You have a Master of Science or equivalent in electrical engineering or physics. Experience from work with model based system engineering is a merit.
The position entails working with classified information and requires Swedish citizenship.
Place of action
Electronic Defence Systems, a business area of Saab, is one of the world’s premier suppliers of solutions for surveillance, avionics and systems to detect, locate and protect against threat.
Microwave and Antennas, a department within Electronic Defence Systems, are responsible for the design of the antenna and microwave systems included in several of Saab's radar- and sensor products. It means that we work in a very broad area of activity, from overall system design to hardware design and finally verification of integrated antenna and microwave systems. Within the department there are just about 85 employees.
To the Microwave System Design and Verification section, with about 25 employees, we are looking for Subsystem Engineers within the area antenna and microwave system design. The Subsystem Engineer position implies work, in a comprehensive manner, within a wide range of competence areas, from antenna radiation pattern to digital signal preprocessing.
