Mission/purpose of the job
The Center of Expertise (CoE) team aims to be the leading human resources experts in Sweden. By knowing our business, being in the forefront of our fields and through a close dialogue, we strengthen and empower Volvo Group to be an admired, attractive and safe employer.
CoE works cross all Volvo Group organizations and brands in Sweden, such as Volvo Trucks, Volvo Penta and Volvo Construction Equipment, covering more than 24.000 employees in Sweden. The CoE team consists of 15 skilled and committed experts in four different areas: Health & Safety, Labor Relations, Compensation & Benefits and Talent & Leadership. In this role you will report directly to the Head of CoE, People & Culture Sweden.
As the labor relations expert in one or several organizations within Volvo Group Sweden you will coach, negotiate and drive different labor relations issues together with operational HR Managers. You will drive different investigations, continuous improvement initiatives as well as trainings on Volvo Group Sweden level. Further, you will consult the Volvo Group organizations about their needs at country level and translate that into labor relation activities. Interpret law and legislation and support organizations in compliance assurance are also part of your work. In the role you will work closely with our global teams to identify and address country specific needs and challenges. To summarize: do everything that is needed to have great, strong and proactive labor relations knowledge in one of Sweden's largest companies.
Preferred Educational and/or Training Qualifications and Certificates
University degree, preferable master level in Human Resources, Labor Relation or equivalent education
Formal training/experience in leadership, communication and/or project management is valuable
Preferred Experience and Knowledge
People and result oriented Labor Relation Expert and/or senior HR Business Partner
Deep interest within the area of labor law, professional understanding of Swedish country laws and regulations
Extensive experience from operational negotiating is required
Strong business acumen and ability to translate business needs into labor relations priorities and actions
Experience of coaching and facilitation
Confident in own ability, being prepared to question and to be challenged
Previous experience from production and/or industry is an advantage
Preferable the position is located in Gothenburg, but any Volvo Group site in Sweden is possible. Some travels will be part of the position.
Necessary Language Skills
Proficiency in both the Swedish and English language is required
