Real Estate Services is the Group Function with operational responsibility for the Volvo Group's real estate. We optimize the use and value of the Volvo Group's facilities - owned and leased. We act as a center of expertise, thus providing a concentration of resources and competences - creating economies of skills and scale.
Subject Matter Expert - Global Concept Facility Management, Real Estate Center of Expertise
Real Estate Center of Expertise (RE CoE) is the global function in Volvo Group Real Estate Services (RE). RE CoE supports overall Volvo Group and the five operational divisions in RE by providing Subject Matter Expertize in the Real Estate competence areas as well as having the global governance of our processes. RE CoE is divided into four teams, where each team has the function host responsibility for:
• Facility solutions
• Property Portfolio Planning and Space
• Building Technology and Projects
• Process, IT and Quality
In addition, direct reports to Head of RE CoE are expert positions for Volvo Group Future Workplace, divestments and communication.
The Volvo Group Real Estate head quarter is located in Gothenburg.
The Real Estate property portfolio consists of Industrial Properties, Warehouses, Dealers and Offices, both owned and leased. The building area we manage is today about 8 M Sqm. The transformation agenda for Volvo Group Real estate and the Volvo group is high. RE CoE drives and coordinates the development work within RE. The work is performed in a skilled team of specialists and in very close cooperation with the RE operational divisions, Volvo Group Truck Divisions, Business Areas and Group Functions. The position is a member of the RE CoE Facility Solutions team, and reports to the Director Facility Solutions who is located in Gothenburg, Sweden, however being a global function we encourage applicants from outside Sweden.
Core responsibilities:
• Development of our global concept for Facility Management Services
• Develop directives, guidelines, instructions, descriptions and tools (methods, products, services and systems) within the Facility Management area
• Drive networks on a global level (interactive transfer of knowledge, training)
• Participate in relevant networks for news, trends, bench marking & best practices
• Collaborate with the RE divisions and Purchasing Department (IPS) on sourcing projects (drive and/or support depending on scope)
• Key account management for global supplier contracts when applicable
• Support on legislation & regulations issues
• Collect feedback from divisions and monitor KPI on deployment and quality of services
• Communicate updates on standards, concepts, tools or services within
• Collect and provide input to the development of the Operate Facility Services Process

Who are you?
We are searching for a person with a well developed consultative mindset. You have a deep knowledge of the Facility Management and Real Estate domain, with primary focus on the so called "soft services." You work pro-actively and take ownership of your area of responsibility as well as being a team-player in both vertical and horizontal dimensions. Since we are a global company, it is preferable that you have experience from working on the international business arena within a global company or network.
What experiences and skills would we like you to have?
• Bachelor Degree or Master of Science/MBA within the area of Facility Management/ Real Estate Management or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities is required to be successful in this position.
• 5-10 years of experience from working within the Facility Management area
• Knowledge of supplier market mechanisms within Facility Management area
• Knowledge of impact on environmental aspects within Facility Management area
• Knowledge of relevant steering documents within Facility Management area
• You are fluent in business English and additional languages are an advantage.
• Skills in leading people in global networks and enjoy building business relationships
• You are well structured and have an analytical approach and a strategic perspective in your daily work
• You are also business- and customer oriented and financial skills are part of your background.
