The department Propulsion Energy System is responsible for development of all major parts of hybrid and electric vehicle systems at Volvo Cars. Sub-systems as HV Batteries and Chargers etc. are some of our responsibilities.
The Charging Software group is responsible for delivering system solution and software functionality for the on-board charger (OBC) & DCDC system in our electrified vehicles. Our vision is to deliver the best functionality in the market and continuously evolve our development platform. We are working with continuous integration as development praxis and we are striving towards continuous deployment of SW. As Sub Function Responsible (SFR) you would be responsible to provide the software requirement for both in-house development team and supplier, take an active part in how our developer and suppliers interpret and implement the DCDC requirement besides that would be involved in the process of in-house software development in which model based development (MBD). You would do follow-ups on existing designs in production to further develop software.
As Sub Function Responsible (SFR) for the DC DC converter module you would be responsible to provide the software requirements for both Volvo in-house development team and supplier of the DC DC converter module; take an active part in how our developers and suppliers interpret and implement the requirements for this module. You would do follow-ups on existing designs which are already in production to help develop further software. In this position you would be the link between function developers and the system designers/engineers for the DC DC/ High Voltage System.
Responsibilities:
* Provide software requirement specification (SWRS) in Volvo requirement system (Elektra based on Vector's eASEE) based on system design requirement
* Ensure that the supplier's software and our in-house software work together and fulfill the SWRS
* Ensure that the initial system requirement and software solutions are aligned
* Responsible to investigate if SWRS follow the Volvo development strategy -common development track for all projects- or if it requires a separate development track
* Main contact person to clarify the software requirement specification for supplier development team
* Follow up the in-house software development and make sure that we have correct releases for each project
* Main contact person to clarify requirement specification for the SW testers for them to create their test specifications
* Occasional travelling to suppliers.
Possibilities of Development:
* This position gives a great possibility to gain experience of power electronics in the automotive field.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Master or Bachelor of Science within electrical/electronics/power electronics/embedded system engineering or equivalent work life experience
* Experience of development with Simulink/Matlab
* Experience of writing software system requirement
* A couple of years relevant job experience
* Good English skills, written and spoken
* Driving license, B
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience in the automotive industry
* Experience as Function developer
* Experience of working with system requirement
* Experience as on-board charger or battery functionality
* Knowledge about charging standards: AC, CHAdeMO, CCS
* Knowledge about AUTOSAR architect and development
* Experience as DC DC convertor functionality
* Knowledge of power electronics and embedded systems
