hela Sverige Sandvik IT Services is the Sandvik Group's internal company with responsibility for infrastructure, application development and system management in the IT area.
The Sourcing and License department seeks to expand the Application Services category team through the recruitment of an experienced Strategic Buyer.
Key performance areas
As Strategic Buyer you will manage the operational, tactical and strategic procurement process within the designated category, encompassing market analysis, sourcing, RFP, vendor selection, internal and external relationship development and vendor management, in accordance with best practice methodologies. Your main responsibilities include:
• Select and qualify vendors in close co-operation with the internal departments for the applicable category
• Implement contracts with service level agreements
• Perform continuous evaluation of vendor strategic positioning identifying opportunities to maximize value in accordance with strategic business objectives
• Ensure the implementation of a best fit approach between business needs and the market place through effective planning, organization, communication analysis and negotiation
• Actively develop communication with key stake holders within the business areas to identify business opportunities and assure continuous improvement of the performance of selected vendors
• Perform periodic vendor evaluations to ensure delivery and performance of the services according to business needs, minimizing the impact of "change" and identifying innovative solutions to maximize value
• Support the internal customer with the day to day delivery of their business requirements in accordance with the strategic business objectives
Your profile
You have an education relevant for this position, as well as previous commercial work experience within a business environment. Experience of working with SAP or comparable ERP systems, Microsoft Office suite of applications and/or Lotus Notes. A sourcing qualification from SILF, CIPS or an equivalent institute is advantageous. You communicate well in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.
You have the ability to understand the needs and priorities of customers as well as the determination to meet their expectations. You are creative and continuously seek and implement new and better ways to achieve results. Furthermore, you have the ability to build and maintain networks, both internally and externally, and you enjoy new challenges, deliver professional results and possess an eye for detail.
