The arena
Biometrics and Information Sciences within AstraZeneca?s late phase development organization are expanding our centre of excellence for cardiovascular outcome studies. We are looking for statisticians and statistical programmers with an interest in this area, aiming to bring some of the brightest talents to Mölndal. The role
You will work in a highly collaborative team including quantitative, technical, regulatory and scientific expertise and together with your colleagues contribute to the design, interpretation, documentation and regulatory submission of our large cardiovascular outcome studies.
Statisticians:
You will provide statistical expertise to the design, conduct, evaluation, documentation and regulatory submissions of our clinical development programs. This will also include work of a more exploratory nature, e.g. modeling and simulation as well as other means to improve decision making.
Programmers:
You will by application of programming methodology provide technical components that support aspects of the planning, documentation and regulatory submissions of our clinical development programs. This will include extensive SAS programming and application of expertise in regulatory and industry data standards.
Minimum/preferred experience/qualifications
As our work is conducted in cross functional projects in an international environment, good collaboration, communication and influencing skills, as well as good written and spoken English are necessary. Keen eye for details and at the same time ability to see the ?big picture? is required. Interest in the application of your statistical and/or programming skills in pharmaceutical development is given.
Statisticians:
Minimum required educational level is a master degree in Statistics, preferable with a strong mathematical foundation. Post-graduate research degree, proven experience from drug development, especially from cardiovascular outcome studies, or other related fields are an advantage. Another asset would be experience in using statistical software such as SAS or S-Plus/R.
Programmers:
A minimum required educational level is a Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Informatics or related subject. You will also have documented extensive programming skills. Experience using a range of applicable programming languages such a SAS, SQL and S/R is an advantage. Expert knowledge of CDISC standards (CDASH, SDTM, ADaM) and proven experience from drug development, especially from cardiovascular outcome studies, or other related fields are an advantage.
