Volvo Penta is now hiring a Spare Part Engineer who will be responsible for controlling a range of parts throughout the product life cycle from a technical, as well as a business standpoint.
Who we are:
Parts Planning & Information Development within Parts & Service Engineering, Training and Information at Volvo Penta Global Aftermarket. Our Parts Planning & Information Development team consists of nine colleagues, all of us working independently with different areas of expertise and assignments, but always with a team spirit.
Department Parts & Service Engineering, Training and Information is responsible for:
• developing service and repair methods
• spare parts planning & catalogue preparation
• creation and distribution of installation-, operators-, parts- and workshop information
• technical training and production of training material
• representing aftermarket in all product development projects
Your main responsibilities are:
• documentation of design changes in parts systems
• initiate or assure that information about changes are given to the markets
• make sure that the product range is according to our Stock Holding Policy
• together with Quality Teams, Purchasing and Procurement make sure that we have parts available
The job is being done in two different processes. Firstly it is a part of activities related to product development. Secondly, it is a matter of taking own initiatives in order to secure that the parts range is optimized from a customer as well as a cost point of view.

Qualifications:
• Good technical understanding and knowledge in diesel engines
• Good computer skills. We work mainly in KOLA, Glopps and Rhelp
• Fluent in English, written and spoken
• Swedish is a merit
• Good understanding for the aftermarket business
• Your CV should contain listed qualifications in minimum a Senior High School Bachelor degree or a couple of years of professional experience within the area
