www.swisslog.com We are looking for a Solution designer for Swisslog's consulting and design group with location in Partille, just outside Gothenburg.
If you like working with complex material handling solutions that contain both soft and hardware in a customer-close climate then this is the right job for you.
You will work in teams in the sales organization within Swisslog. The work starts when the Sales Manager identifies a need at the customer. The Sales Manager puts together a team that will develop the conditions for a new logistics solution. The conditions include, for example, material flow requirements, load units, building requirements, etc. Based on these conditions, you, as a Solution Designer, must develop a material handling solution that meets these requirements. You will work as an important part of the team to develop the best solution. The work also involves close contact with the Software Developer, Purchasing and Controls teams in the project organization. As part of the solution implementation, it is necessary to compile tender documents and include quotes from subcontractors. Once the customer has accepted the solution, the sales project leaves the basis for the project organization that realizes the solution. You are responsible for ensuring that the right information is submitted together with all supporting documents, calculations and subcontractors.
Main Duties
• Responsible for developing the technical solution and layout and that it complies with the capacity requirements and other conditions specified.
• Draw the solution in AutoCAD, or sketch in Powerpoint if it is early phase. Visualization in CAD programs Sketch Up and / or Revit.
• Ensure that Swisslog has understood the customer's requirements and needs for logistics solutions.
• Capacity and cost calculations
• Carry out risk analysis, ie the weaknesses of the solution are identified.
• Provide inquiry documentation to subcontractors and ensure that the quotations correspond to the requirements set.
Competence
• Good knowledge of material handling system, logistics or production
• Good understanding and knowledge of logistics flows, systems and software in logistics processes or automated production systems
• Experience from working in projects
• Structured and accurate
• Appreciate customer contact
• Good ability to communicate both in writing and orally
• Good English, as this is our group language
• Qualifying is practical experience from integrated logistics or production systems as well as knowledge of AutoCAD
