The Electric Drive section, part of Propulsion Power System department, is responsible for designing and delivering electrical drive systems for electrified vehicles.

We are now standing in front of the challenge to develop complete in-house software for the inverter to the electrical machine for our future electrified cars. In the Diagnostic & Safety team you will work in agile Scrum team across the SW ART for Electric Drive. We are fully working in agile way, using the SAFe framework, while the rest of the company is yet on the transformation journey into the new set up.

As a SW verification engineer for the drive train you will work independently as well as in strong collaboration with several software development teams and suppliers. Hence we believe that individual who possess great networking and communication capabilities would be the right person for us. You are business oriented individual, who takes initiatives and is driven by finding new solutions.

Your mission

In this role you will work in software development team, with software test engineers and developers, getting a broad experience of electric drive systems, including both hardware and software.

You will lead, plan and perform the SW verification work based on specifications, writing test methods and perform tests in various test objects such as HIL, rigs and Car environment. You will collect data using test tools, analyse and verify them. You will use Elektra structured workflow and tool chain, and continuously develop working processes and procedures.

You and your skills

You have M.Sc. degree in Computer science, Electronics, Mechatronics or equivalent with relevant work experience. Besides your strong background, you have genuine interest in cars and have experience in automotive industry.

Tools you need to have expertise with are CANoe, CANalayzer, DSA, INCA MDA, as well as CAN for network communication. It would be beneficial to understand the functional safety standard, ISO 26262, having hardware knowledge in embedded systems, like sensors, electric machines, inverters.

It is beneficial if you have been utilizing scrum methodology before to be easier for you to get into the SAFe framework. You are fluent in English, written and spoken, have been working in international environment before and are ready to join few exhibitions on yearly bases. To be able being part of in car testing, you also need a valid driving license "B", valid in Sweden.

You are structured and have good communications skills, which is a strong requirement to be able to build good collaboration with different stakeholder within and outside of the company.
