hela Sverige In the next few years, we will see exciting transformational projects driven by new business models and Industry 4.0. We are also rolling out our MES/MOM system to modernize our industrial system landscape and support the growing business demands. This will dramatically change how we conduct business, and therefore we need a new, fantastic colleague to join our Line Feeding Logistics team.
We are a dedicated MES/MOM team focusing on Line Feeding Logistics development and are responsible for defining and recommending the right architecture for MES/MOM solutions to fulfill Scania's needs in the Inhouse/manufacturing Logistics area. We are responsible for creating and maintaining the MES/MOM target and guidelines for implementing MES/MOM at Scania. The MES/MOM architecture should fit within the Target and Reference views of the P&L solution architecture, and we play a vital role in moving the organization towards the set architectural direction. We are a team that comes from diverse backgrounds and experiences and likes to work in an open atmosphere.
About the job
You will work primarily within the Line Feeding Logistics development team and take responsibility for ensuring that MES/MOM solutions are realized correctly and for the right lifespan. You will create and maintain an architectural vision and technical roadmap for your domain in connection with the overall architecture for P&L, including the IT infrastructural perspective. One of your main responsibilities is to understand the current MES/MOM architecture and support the team in developing the MES/MOM solution to create business value. You will play a key role in facilitating the reuse of ideas, applications, components, functions, and proven patterns within your development team and across teams within Scania P&L by collaborating with other software architects. You will also take a leading role in the creation and sharing of best practices, technical content, and preparation and presentation of the basis for architectural recommendations, keeping quality characteristics in mind.
You will work closely with the Solution Architects and Business Architects in your domain along with other roles such as Developers, Scrum Masters, Business Analysts, Line Managers, Product Owners, and other Software Architects. You will work together with the Scania IT Infrastructure department to communicate MES/MOM needs and to secure the overall IT architecture for the MES/MOM solutions. You will drive the overall MES/MOM software architecture forward together with the other product teams within the department.
We offer a fantastic team culture and a flexible work environment that is highly appreciated among our co-workers. Besides the Line Feeding MES development team, the group also consists of other roles that are running and maintaining solutions towards the Inhouse Logistics IT area. As a Software Architect in this group, it is crucial to learn and contribute with modern technologies and tools in this area that may become a part of the continuously evolving MES/MOM architectural landscape.
Desired Qualifications
Worked in a strategic role in creating, preferably industrial, IT solutions for at least 5 years, with experience in designing technical solutions in a complex IT landscape
Experience in driving technical and organizational change of significant complexity as part of a digital transformation journey in large organizations
Modeling experience and the ability to develop different views at different levels, from simple to complex, depending on the need and audience
Great communication and presentation skills in English
Experience working with MES platforms such as Apriso or others is meritorious. Knowledge of other systems in the industrial IT landscape such as ERP, IIOT, and SCADA with expertise in the MESA model and underlying standards such as the ISA95 standard and the impact of Industry 4.0 is also meritorious.
To have fun and thrive in this position, we believe you are a curious person who stays up to date on industry trends, modern technologies, and is receptive to innovative ideas and influences. You have a pragmatic and positive mindset and enjoy networking and collaboration rather than working by yourself.
What We Offer
Scania is on a journey with a strong purpose: to drive the shift towards a sustainable transport system. To get there, we have gathered a diverse team with talented and fun colleagues, endless development opportunities, and good work-life balance. We work a mix of remote and in-office. Our offices are activity-based with a lot of creative spaces in Södertälje, and we also have a new office hub close to the central station in Stockholm. Furthermore, you are offered an annual bonus, lunch at reduced prices, wellness contribution, and much more.
