hela Sverige The Global Journey Transformation team is working intensively with growing our service design capabilities, methods, and tools into the work we do to improve our end-to-end customer journeys for RAN, 5G and Cloud as well as for Ericsson's global talent management and sourcing processes. The Global Journey Transformation team is a part of Ericsson Global Functions Global Operations (GFGO).
We are now looking for Ericsson employees that are interested in becoming a part of our service design chapter. We offer you an upskilling program that will run during the coming year. The program is targeting employees that want to take their next step into designing Ericsson's future customer experience through service design methodology.
Are you a people person with a lot of interest in understanding human behavior and building and creating empathy for our employees and customers?
Do you like to do qualitative research and interviewing and to convert insights into actions? Are you seeing yourself framing strategies and value propositions and envisioning a future where you are driving cross-competence collaborations to deliver results that make meaning for our customers and employees - this is the place for you!
Bring an open approach and some of the key competencies we are looking for - and we will offer an upskill path so you can become our future service designer.
You will report directly to the Service Design Chapter Lead.
What you will do
As a Service Designer you will:
Visualize the future through the production of service design deliverables that guide the transformation in collaboration with customers, business partners, and staff to develop customer and employee-centric concepts
Drive the development of innovative new services from initial brief and discovery to delivery of new journeys and touchpoints
Work with Product Owners to define both long and short-term vision and roadmap for digital solutions
Design sophisticated and fabulous product experiences as part of cross-functional Agile product teams
Produce a range of service design deliverables for different touchpoints
Perform user research, and map user experiences and customer journeys through blueprints, roadmaps, workflows, personas, and scenarios
Lead and facilitate a variety of design thinking workshops
Use visual design to tell stories and bring a narrative to life
Build prototypes and design tests to validate designs based on customer needs, requirements and behaviors
You will bring
We will offer none-service designers with the right approach and relevant background an individually adapted Service design program. We welcome profiles that tick some of the boxes below:
2-5 years of experience in business development, business analysis, process development, customer research or customer-centric strategy development
Distinct customer/user focus and quality attitude
Have been a part of new concept development
A big interest in design-thinking methodologies and an eagerness to learn and practice more
Willingness to learn and understand complex business processes and technologies
Ability to acclimate to working in new multi-disciplinary teams
Experience in planning and conducting user research and user tests at various stages of the design process
Experience in agile product development settings
A university degree in Design, Product development, Business administration, Marketing, or equivalent

Service Design learning paths (with digital as well as in-classroom trainings)
A dedicated coach and mentor from the design community
Shadowing activities
Learning by doing - conduct customer research, facilitate design workshops, prototype, and test the future customer journeys together with an expert service designer
Learning and sharing activities as a part of the Design chapter

You will be part of the Service Design Chapter, a competence area within the Global Journey Transformation team dedicated to driving design thinking, customer-centricity, and digital experience across our transformation initiatives, striving for step changes and progressive innovation.
You will also be part of our broader Design community, the Experience Design team, a multicultural team of 30+ passionate minds - designers, researchers, content strategists, and developers - with design projects spanning across the entire corporate portfolio.
