Position description
We are now looking for an outstanding candidate to take on the role as Senior Vice President Communications with the full responsibility for global internal and external communications for one of the largest purchasing organizations in the world. In this role you formally own the external communication for all supply chain partners of the Volvo Group by carrying a coordinating communication role for all purchasing organizations.
You will be an active member of the Group Purchasing Executive Management team, where you translate business plans and strategies into inspiring and motivating communication plans that bring pride, engagement and motivation for all GTP employees, the Volvo Group Purchasing Community, our customers and supply chain partners.
You will also carry the role as advisor and effectively coach and support the GTP Executive Vice President (EVP) and the Purchasing Management team in building a Communicative Leadership. Furthermore, you will facilitate the voice of the Volvo Group Purchasing Chief Purchasing Officer (CPO) in external contexts.
Who are we looking for?
The successful candidate has a proven track record of +5 years in developing and leading flexible global teams successfully - mastering both internal and external communications within automotive industry.
You are passionate about the art of communication. You constantly develop content, channels and strategies.
This role requires that you are a true connector: you have strong ability to form trustful and cross-functional relations both within and outside the Volvo Group.
You carry the flag with the ambition to be industry benchmark for supply chain communication. With this comes along your natural talent to plan, execute and moderate global live and digital events.
You are highly driven, like speed and make things happen by constantly and swiftly switching between strategic work and hands-on operational work.
As a leader, you have an inclusive leadership, taking quick decisions and have the capability to bring out the best from your team! You lead with passion, always perform with purpose, and ability to transform with vision. You and your team are enablers for the execution of Volvo Group's & GTP's business.
Required competencies for the position:
You have a strong drive, a can-do mind-set and a hands-on attitude and ability to drive several complex communication projects in parallel.
You have a documented experience within Communications, but most of all a high ambition and a strong drive:
University degree in Journalism, Communications, Media or Marketing
Minimum of 5 years of proven leadership
Sound judgement - ability to take the right actions at the right time
Strong drive to develop and ability to get things done
Strong communicator with excellent verbal and written English
