SOLIDWORKS PDM is an enterprise level client/server application with deep integration with the Windows operating system as well as a lightweight web client application. The successful candidate will be working primarily with the web application, but may be needed to test other parts of the system and will be expected to learn about all parts of the application.
As a test engineer, you will be responsible for the quality of assigned areas of product functionality. You will be responsible for reviewing product specifications, creating and maintaining test plans, running test cases, logging defects, verifying fixes, and regression testing. You will be part of a team and will need to coordinate test coverage of overlapping areas with other team members. You will also be expected to work closely with product management and development. Your mission is to make sure to deliver a robust, high quality product for every product release.
On daily basis you will be expected to manage a to-do list of defect reviews and verifications that need to be completed in a timely manner, as well as manage the testing responsibilities for project level work through all levels of development from project definition to final approval
KvalifikationerEducation, experience and personal qualities
• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Experience working with Windows operating systems (Windows Server, Windows 7, and Windows 10)
• Self-motivated with a tenacious approach to problem solving and a strong attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and plan ahead to deliver high quality work by scheduled deadlines
• Previous experience working in software QA or high level technical support strongly desired
• Experience writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases strongly desired
• Experience testing web applications strongly desired
• Relevant academic background is a plus, but not required
To succeed in the role, you should have great problem-solving skills and the ability to multitask and plan ahead to be able to consistently deliver high-quality work. You should be a team player with a positive attitude that can "hit the ground running." Clear and honest communication will be essential to success in this role.
