What you will do

At Volvo Group Purchasing (GTP) Services Digital & Investment you will contribute to the transformation of our company, the transport industry and society at large.
As a Senior Project & Commodity Buyer for Packaging, you will be responsible to drive the sourcing and project activities for packaging material, both for the global Volvo needs and for the production sites specific needs in Sweden, France and Belgium. You will also manage the packaging plastic segment which is a recurrent business.
Your Main Responsibilities:
• Perform daily purchasing activities related to production orders, logistics and financial flows to the suppliers, secure QDCFTSR performance with suppliers
• Drive purchasing activities for Packaging material projects
• Lead supplier negotiations
• Build and maintain strong business relationships with our supply partners
• Build and maintain strong relationship with internal stakeholders
• Play a key role in the Packaging Sustainability roadmap (plastic reduction, waste reduction, sustainable materials etc...)
• Work in accordance with the Volvo processes, the Code of Conduct and the Volvo Values
• Be a strong ambassador of Volvo Group towards our supply partners
• Be a strong contributor to Investment & PIC department objectives

Since the job is about building relationships plus negotiating and convincing others about the best solutions and ways of working, we also believe you should have good networking skills, analytical skills, and the ability to be effective in a variety of presentation settings.

Desired Education & Experience:
• Master of Science &/or Business Administration
• Fluent spoken and written English & Swedish
• At least 5 years purchasing experience
• Strong business acumen
• Experience from projects within the automotive industry is desired
