We are looking for a senior mineral analyst responsible for developing our mineral economic consultancy globally. The work includes a wide variety of tasks depending on inflow of projects from clients. The following types of projects are the most common and important ones: market analysis and price projections for metals and coal (coal including both thermal and metallurgical coal); analysis of physical flows and based on that investment flows in the mining sector including projections into the future; preparing quarterly reports on coal and other metals/topics of interest to clients. At present RMG is starting an intensive phase of working in Africa and some projects will be located in Africa and hence travel into Africa will be necessary. Depending on other opportunities, there will be work for other regions and countries.The present post is based in Stockholm.
Your qualifications
The successful candidate will have an academic exam with focus on economics and the mineral industry. At least 15 years of experiences from the mining industry working in the field of mineral economics is required. As Australia has been expanding its mining industry rapidly in the past decade knowledge of the investment trends in Australia is important. A proven ability to work independently as well as being a mentor and team leader for younger analysts is also required. He/she has excellent presentation and communication skills, is a goal-oriented researcher and team-worker. He/she is fluent in both spoken and written English and in addition to this has knowledge of one Scandinavian language.
Earlier experiences from the public sector will be an advantage as a lot of the work of RMG's consultancy team deals with policy matters for regional and national governments.

We work in the crossroads of mineral economics and mineral policy/strategy. Our clients include equipment and service providers, mining companies, junior exploration companies, governments, international organisations, banks and financial institutions. The company has 15 employees, 20 MSEK in revenues and excellent profitability.
Raw Materials Group is part of the IntierraRMG group based in Perth WA. The group is one of the globally leading dataproviders for the minerals industries with a total of 80 employees in Australia, Canada, Sweden and the UK.
